Getting There
There will be a coach leaving from central Guimarães at 13:30pm to take people without transport to the venue. Taxis will be on-hand in the evening to take people back to their accommodation. TRANSPORTATION
The nearest airport is Porto (OPO) and is approximately 30-40 minutes away from the venue. The cheapest transfer from the airport to Guimarães is by bus: https://getbus.eu/en/guimaraes-airport-guimaraes/
If you are renting a car there is parking at the venue. We will organise for a taxi/coach to collect those without transport on the day.

Deguste by Pedro Pinto
Taste by Pedro Pinto is the latest Artisan Hamburger and Steak House located in the Historic Centre of Guimarães. The space is a young and modern space and marks the difference for the quality of the products and ingredients and for the creations of the chef Pedro Pinto that in addition to the renowned Burgers and Steaks goes daily making different dishes for lunch. Dan’s is in Maggie’s opinion the best burger restaurant in town. There’s usually a queue at the door, so you might want to book a table or be prepared to wait. But trust us; the wait is well worth it! The average meal price is £5 to £9. They also have vegetarian burgers that are also very tasty according to Maggie’s Dad. And as a good Portuguese restaurant, is child-friendly.

Taberna Londrina
Francesinha is Portugal’s best dish, in Maggie’s opinion. And Andy’s too! It’s a sandwich layered with pork, then smoked sausage, then bacon, and topped off with a medium-rare beefsteak, it is finished with a fried egg and covered in a thick coat of cheesy sauce. It is heated through and then drenched in a spicy beer sauce. A mountain of French fries is served on the side. Anyone aiming to polish off even half of one of these needs to be pretty forceful, for this little Frenchie is a tower of power. Prices vary between £5 to £13.
